About Me
Hey y'all! This page is about James Rankin. I'm a freshman at Duke University and will be majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I am in the Blue Devil/Eagle Army ROTC Battalion, and will be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army following graduation.
Background
I was born on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and have lived there my entire life. I have two dogs and two cats. I attended Hilton Head Elementary, Hilton Head Middle School and Hilton Head High School.
Interests
I enjoy just about everything that involves the water. I swim, sail, and skimboard, and often go waterskiing and tubing with friends during the summer. I also run a lot and play paintball and airsoft.
College
I go to Duke University and love it!!!
Assignments
For the Lab 2 assignment, I found an article about a company that was able to derive a new chemical from aluminum oxide that will make water treatment more accessible and affordable, both here and in less-developed countries.
