HW2: My favorite demo is the bending truss demo. It clearly shows the usefulness of MATLAB in an engineering context, and can surely provide much more useful information than just a diagram of motion. Locating week points on bridges is key for stability, and showing the forces on a bridge while in various forms of motion is very useful.
